Effulgent Pictures is an IP investment, development and production company, founded by Julian Scott, an Executive Producer who has been developing, financing and co-producing television and films in the international arena for over 25 years.

Effulgent shines a light on great ideas, priding itself in spotting strong IP which is both commercially viable and creatively unique, taking the concept through all stages of its generation working with the best creative talent and partners to deliver high quality, engaging stories, on time and on budget. We put the story and script at the heart of every project.

Julian has an eclectic and acclaimed career in entertainment. He worked his way up through the production ranks, starting as a third assistant director and has acted as location manager, first assistant director, post-production supervisor, line producer, producer and executive producer on numerous series based both in the UK and internationally. He has held corporate roles as Director of International Production for LA based Walt Disney International Television and Group Vice President, Creative Development and Group Vice President of European Operations at Sesame Workshop in New York.  

He has held corporate roles including Vice President of International Production, Creative Development at Walt Disney International Television in Los Angeles, and Group Vice President of European Operations at Sesame Workshop in New York and London. He was also Head of Children’s & Family Programming at both Coolabi and Zenith.

Over the last few years Julian has overseen the development, financing, production and exploitation of over 200 episodes of internationally successful television series across scripted, unscripted and children’s, as well as family-focused feature films.
